Description

The Penthouse suite consists of a large, split level sitting room with marble flooring and comfortable cane diwans, a small dining room and a large bedroom with a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The bed and sitting rooms open into the private terrace, on which you can sunbathe or just relax and enjoy the view. A beautiful mix of colonial and indian antiques gives the suite its special touch. The bedroom is airconditioned and has TataSky to keep you informed and entertained.
The suite covers most of the upper floor of the Marbella Guest House,, a beautiful portugese style mansion, where attention was paid to every detail. It is lovingly designed and furnished, and when the building was reconstructed in, it would have been the first boutique guest house, but the term had not yet been coined.
There is a gourmet restaurant offering various styles of cuisine, served in the lush green courtyard, or in the privacy of your private porch. The chefs will be happy to oblige to any personal tastes or health requirements, and only residing guests are catered to, to maintain the peaceful ambience.
The house is situated at the end of a quiet lane passing through Sinquerim village and is surrounded by rich vegetation. A footpath leads to the headlands, where a 16th century fort with its lighthouse guards the mouth of the Mandovi river. The beach is about 15 minutes down the village lane and offers watersports and shacks for drinks and snacks.
In case you want to venture out any further, we can arrange any type of transport for you scooters, bikes, cars and jeeps for hire, or a taxi if you prefer to be chauffeured. And the bus stop is also just a 5 minute walk away.
We are looking forward to welcoming you, and making it a most memorable stay.

About the Host, Dian

Hi, My name is Dian, and my father is Indian and mother German. I was brought up in Germany, but decided to settle in Goa in1985, where I bought this building and reconstructed it to become the Marbella Guesthouse. In 2005 I met Susan from England, who became my wife. We live 15 minutes away in Candolim and she makes regular visits to ensure our staff keeps everything is spic and span, while I like to play on my guitar. As well as running the guest house, we have also set up an NGO charitable trust for animals in south Goa (Animal Shelter Agonda)
